ZHENGZHOU, CHINA – August 20, 2025 – Henan Leming Agriculture Co., Ltd., a leading garlic exporter based in Qixian County (“China’s Garlic Hometown”), announced the signing of a long-term supply agreement with a major Brazilian food distributor. Under the deal, Leming will deliver 2,000 tons of premium Qixian garlic monthly – totaling 25,000 tons annually – with all shipments destined for Brazil’s Port of Santos, the country’s largest and most important maritime hub.
This strategic partnership strengthens Leming’s presence in Latin America, leveraging Qixian garlic’s competitive edges: plump cloves, strong aroma, zero excessive pesticide residues, and full compliance with Brazil’s updated phytosanitary requirements. The Brazilian partner selected Leming for its reliable large-scale supply capacity, strict quality control, and optimized logistics solutions to Port of Santos.
“We are delighted to establish this long-term cooperation,” said Mr. Zhang, General Manager of Henan Leming Agriculture. “This 25,000-ton annual deal reflects global trust in Qixian garlic’s quality and our ability to meet international standards. By targeting Port of Santos, we ensure efficient distribution across Brazil and South America, deepening China-Brazil agricultural trade ties.”
All garlic will be sourced from Leming’s 500-hectare organic base in Qixian, undergoing manual screening and food-grade packaging. Shipments will utilize rail-sea intermodal transport to Port of Santos, with a transit time of 35-40 days – aligned with the latest direct shipping routes from China to Brazil. The agreement taps into Brazil’s booming garlic market, driven by catering and food processing demand.
Leming will expand production capacity to fulfill the long-term commitment while exploring further partnerships in Latin America.
